Ric Kayer was born in Chicago and spent most of his life in Illinois. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era and built a long career in management. He also faithfully served as a leader at Oswego Methodist Church in Oswego, Illinois, for 24 years and invested in young people as a Boy Scout leader for over 20 years.
In 2018, Ric and his wife Barb moved to Arizona, where they enjoy the warmer climate in retirement. They have been married for 38 years and are blessed with five children, eleven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Ric has been a devoted Mason for over 40 years and remains deeply committed to the principles of service and brotherhood. He is also a proud member of the American Legion and the Sons of the American Revolution, reflecting his enduring dedication to faith, community, and country. Ric now serves as a Trustee and board member at the church.
